Oroyo Eubanks is a communications specialist with over ten years’ experience in multimedia broadcast journalism.
He is currently the Communications Manager for Chain of Hope in the UK a children’s cardiac medical charity which funds heart surgeries for children from across developing and war-torn areas. He has travelled to Jordan, Ethiopia, Egypt and to his homeland, Jamaica on medical missions with the charity.
He is a 2015/16 recipient of the prestigious Chevening Scholarship presented by the Government of the United Kingdom to professionals who display outstanding leadership and academic abilities. Which allowed him to complete his master’s in media and Development at the University of Westminster, London.
Oroyo has worked in Broadcast journalism for over ten years and have produced and hosted live talk shows as well as anchor both radio and television news broadcasts on multimedia platforms for local and international audiences.
He has also worked as a government communicator with the Jamaica Information Service, covering official visits such as the state visit of United States President Barack Obama in 2015 and the affairs of the Office of the Prime Minister and Ministry of Finance and Planning.
Oroyo is a Christian and loves to sing. He has a passion for motivating and helping others especially the youth and volunteers with the mentorship programme in Jamaica and in the United Kingdom.
